Superintendent's Summer Message 2025
June 20, 2025
The end of another school year brings the usual feelings of “how did it get here so quickly, I still have so much to do” combined with “yes, it is summer”! This mixture of sentiments very much reflects the day to day of our school year. We greet each day with a list of things we want to do and rarely take the time to appreciate our successes.
As we enter the final days of the school year, I want to take this opportunity to shine a light on and appreciate some of our accomplishments. Our students continue to make us proud each and every day. They demonstrate their talents, tenacity, curiosity, and commitment in ways too numerous and varied to mention. They challenge our skills and reinforce our dedication to their success and I look back on the previous 10 months with a true sense of satisfaction and accomplishment - this is a feeling I want everyone in the District to share. I am proud and fortunate to lead a dedicated team of staff who focus on each student, work to understand each student, and deploy methods that allow each student to learn and grow.
The partnership between our schools and our families plays a key role in the education of our students; we rely on everyone to treat that partnership with the respect and importance it deserves. I have met many students and families this year and I am confident that we understand that the relationships we build influences the outcomes we achieve.
As the final day approaches, I want to wish everyone the very best that this break and summer has to offer. I hope your days include time with your family, time with your friends, warm sun, not too many rainy days, and adventures that bring a smile to your face and build memories that last.
We will see you in the next school year.
Sincerely,
Peter Botelho
