Back to School Training 2025-2026
Each year, all employees must review and sign off on the Employee Handbook and also complete a comprehensive Back to School Training module.
Employee Handbook
SPS Employee Handbook is available for review and sign off. All staff must review the 2025-2026 Employee Handbook and submit the Google sign off form to confirm that you have completed this requirement. Both the handbook and sign off form are linked below. The Employee Handbook may have ongoing updates throughout the year; those updates will be reflected in the Handbook that is available on the District website.

The ArxEd/LITIX Academy Mandated Reporter training module meets Massachusetts requirements for this material. However, if staff are interested in more detailed information they can visit the State of Massachusetts Mandated Reporter Training website.
How do I get access to the ArxEd/LITIX Platform?
In late August, ArxEd/LITIX sent an email to every District staff member. This email provided information and login instructions to the ArxEd/LITIX platform. Please reach out to ArxEd/LITIX directly at support@ArxEd.com if:
- You did not receive a “Welcome and Login Instructions” email from ArxEd
- You are having trouble setting up your password
- Your login or password do not seem to be working
ArxEd|LITIX Academy issues weekly reminder emails to those who have not completed the training. Please log into your training using the link in that email, or go to their website, click the Sign-in button, and click the LITIX Academy button to sign in.
General Questions regarding Training module content?
If you have questions about the material/information (as opposed to technical support needs which should be addressed to support@ArxEd.com)) in these modules, please reach out to Marianne Casano at mcasano@sharonschools.net.
State Ethics/Conflict of Interest
Starting in 2010, Municipal Employees are required to annually review and acknowledge receipt of the “Summary of the Conflict of Interest Law” and every two years complete an on-line Conflict of Interest Training. The State Ethics Commission has created an online training program that will store the completed documents.
To complete the training, please visit the link and follow the steps below:
https://massethicstraining.skillburst.com
Step 1:
• Create a log in: For most employees, this will be the first time, please click First time logging in
• Enter your email, name, and last name
• Select your organization: “Sharon” & Click Get Access
Step 2:
• You will receive an email to create a password
• Click on the link and create a new password
• Click to Log in
• Enter your email address you used to set up the account and the new password you just created
Step 3: Once you are all logged in
• First part of the training: Click Launch (Green Button) for State Ethics Commission Conflict of Interest Law Training (Length is about 1 hour)
• Second Part of the Training: Click Launch (Green Button) for Acknowledge Receipt of the Summary of the Conflict-of-Interest Law for Municipal Employees (Length is about 10 minutes)
You have the option to complete the training in parts because your progress saves as you go. As a reminder, all municipal employees* in Massachusetts are required to comply with the Commonwealth’s conflict of interest law, Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 268A.
